The Duff Movie is Hilarious For Older Tweens

The Duff is a movie that I wanted to see when I first saw the ad on television but my mom and I couldn’t seem to get to the theater. So I was thrilled to be able to check out the movie now on Blu-ray and DVD.

Duff Movie ReviewWhat’s The Duff Movie About?

The movie centers around Bianca (Mae Whitman star of The Perks of Being a Wallflower) who learns that her high school refer to her as a “DUFF” (Designated Ugly Fat Friend). Not very nice, right!

She wants to get rid being called a DUFF by getting the school jock (Robbie Amell from TV’s “The Flash”)) and her favorite teacher (Ken Jeong from TV’s “Community”) to help her  and also face the school’s mean girl (Bella Thorne from Blended).

3 Reasons I liked The Duff
1.  It teaches kids that in high school you shouldn’t care what other people think of you and it shouldn’t  affect how you see yourself.
2.  The movie is very funny and you will laugh at lot.
3. My favorite character is Wesley Rush (Robbie Ammell) because he helps Bianca with her look. I have to say that although I like his character he looks too old to be in high school.
I want to warn you that the  movie is definitely inappropriate for younger tweens. There is definitely lots of references to sex and inappropriate situations that happen to high school kids. But if you have seen Pitch Perfect, you and your mom won’t be shocked.

P.S. I liked this movie so much, I am going to ask for it to be downloaded on my iPad.
